Stripe connects your Stripe account through Stripe Connect so your agent can generate payment links and create invoices during a conversation. Use it with [Orders](https://docs.getlinkai.com/products/orders) when you want customers to pay online instead of at pickup or delivery.

## What you can do

- **Payment links**: your agent generates secure Stripe payment links so customers can complete purchases.
- **Invoices**: your agent can create invoices for orders through Stripe.
- **Order sync**: when a payment succeeds, the order status updates in your Link AI dashboard.
- **Direct payouts**: payments go directly into your Stripe account, minus any transaction fees.

## Before you start

- A Stripe account, or create one during onboarding.
- Products in [Orders](https://docs.getlinkai.com/products/orders). Add them manually, import via CSV, or [sync from Shopify](https://docs.getlinkai.com/integrations/shopify). Include title, price, description, categories, and images.

## Connect

### Start Stripe Connect
Open **Integrations**, find Stripe, and click **Connect Stripe**. You are redirected to Stripe's onboarding page.

### Authorize
Log in to your Stripe account (or create one) and authorize Link AI. You return to Link AI and the account shows as **Connected**.

### Enable Orders on the agent
Open your agent's configuration, enable the **Orders** action, and save.

### Test it
Ask your agent to show products and create an order.

You should see the agent send a Stripe payment link when a customer places an order.

## Use it in an agent

- **Keep prices in sync.** Make sure catalog prices match your Stripe products to avoid confusing customers.
- **Test in Stripe test mode.** Verify the ordering flow before you accept real payments.
- **Write clear product descriptions** so your agent can answer customer questions accurately.
- **Check orders regularly** in your Link AI dashboard and Stripe account.

## Troubleshooting

**Payment link generation fails**
Make sure your Stripe account is fully onboarded with no pending requirements, such as identity verification.

**Order status is not updating**
Check the Stripe integration status in the dashboard and make sure webhooks are active.

**Integration disconnected**
Reconnect Stripe from **Integrations** to restore payments.

**Currency mismatch**
Make sure your product catalog currency matches your Stripe account's default currency.

**Products not found**
Check that products exist in [Orders](https://docs.getlinkai.com/products/orders) and that Orders is enabled on the agent.
