Introducing Ally

Meet Ally, your personal business assistant from Link AI. It manages your agents, checks your calendar, searches the web, sends emails, and remembers everything you tell it.

Overview

Ally is your personal AI assistant built into the Link AI dashboard. It gives you quick, conversational access to everything on the platform: managing agents, viewing your calendar, checking form submissions, reviewing analytics, managing emails, and more, without leaving the dashboard.

Preferred Name

Ally remembers what to call you. There is no setting to configure this. Just introduce yourself, correct it, or ask to be called something different in conversation and Ally will remember it going forward.

Active Workspace

You can designate one workspace as your active workspace. Ally uses it as the default for your daily briefing, email inbox, and proactive notifications. You can still ask about other workspaces at any time.

Set it by saying: "Set my active workspace to [name]"

Email Inbox

Every workspace gets a dedicated Ally email address in the format {workspace-name}@ally.getlinkai.com.

Receiving emails: When an email arrives, Ally reads it, evaluates its importance, and sends you a WhatsApp summary if you have WhatsApp enabled and are within your working hours.

Sending emails: Ask Ally to send an email and it will draft the message first for your approval before sending.

Proactive Messages

Ally proactively checks in with you during your configured working hours via WhatsApp.

Morning briefing: Sent at the start of your workday. Covers today's appointments, unread emails, overdue tasks, recent form submissions, tickets, and key metrics.

Check-ins: Every 3 hours during working hours. Ally checks for unread emails and overdue tasks. If everything looks clear, it stays quiet.

Email notifications: Triggered in real time when a new email arrives. Ally evaluates the email and sends a WhatsApp notification if it's worth your attention.

Memory

Ally remembers things you tell it. Preferences, decisions, facts about your business, notes about clients. Tell it something once and it carries that context into every future conversation. You can also ask Ally to forget specific things at any time.

Single Conversation

Ally uses one persistent conversation rather than multiple threads. It's designed as a utility assistant, not a chat product. Use "New chat" to clear it and start fresh whenever you need to.

WhatsApp

Ally can be connected to WhatsApp so you can manage your business from your phone. To set it up, go to Settings > Link Ally, verify your phone number, configure your working hours, and enable WhatsApp.

Proactive messages (briefings, check-ins, email notifications) are only sent during your configured working hours.
