Enabling AviationStack

AviationStack is available as part of Link AI's tools. You simply need to enable it for your agent.

Step 1: Enable AviationStack

1. Go to the configuration settings for the agent you wish to use.
2. Navigate to the "Actions" tab.
3. Locate the AviationStack section and toggle it to "Enabled".
4. Save your changes.

Step 2: Update System Prompt

1. In your agent's system prompt, clearly define its role in providing aviation information.
2. For example: "You are a travel assistant capable of providing real-time flight status, airport schedules, and airline details using our aviation tools."

Step 3: Test Functionality

1. Ask your agent a question like "What is the status of flight AA123?" or "Show me departures from LAX."
2. Verify that the agent retrieves accurate information and presents it clearly.

Usage Limits

AviationStack usage is subject to limits based on your Link AI plan:

• The number of searches your agent can make
• The number of actions your agent can take

• Specify Flight Details: For the most accurate results, encourage users to provide flight numbers or IATA codes.
• Monitor Usage: Keep track of your AviationStack usage to ensure you stay within your plan limits.
• Concise Voice Responses: In voice or telephony channels, instruct your agent to provide the most critical flight information (e.g., status, gate, time) concisely.
• Verify Airport Codes: Ensure your agent understands common airport codes (e.g., JFK, LHR, CDG) to provide accurate schedule information.

Troubleshooting

• No Flight Data Found: Verify the flight number is correct and that the flight is currently active or scheduled within the API's look-back window.
• Request Limits Exceeded: If you've reached your plan's limit, the agent will gracefully inform users that the data is currently unavailable. Consider upgrading your plan for higher limits.
• Unsupported Regions: While AviationStack covers most global airports, ensure the specific airlines or airports you need are supported by their data providers.
• Integration Not Working: Verify that AviationStack is enabled in your agent's Actions tab and that your plan includes access to this integration.
