Gmail

Connect Gmail so agents, workflows, and Ally can send email from your Google address.

Connect Gmail so agents, Workflows, and Ally can send email as you: follow-ups, outreach, and notifications from your own address.

Sent mail lands in your Gmail Sent folder. Replies arrive in Gmail as usual. This connection does not read your inbox. Agents do not auto-reply to Gmail threads from this integration.

For inbound Microsoft mail, use Outlook.

How to connect

  1. Open DashboardIntegrationsGmail.
  2. Click Connect.
  3. Choose the Google account and approve send access.
  4. You return to Link AI with Gmail connected.

Permission requested

  • Send email on your behalf

Google Calendar and Google Drive are separate connections. Connecting Gmail does not enable those.

Use it with agents and workflows

  1. Connect Gmail.
  2. In a workflow, add Send Email via Gmail and set to, subject, and body. Use variables such as {{customerEmail}}.
  3. On an agent, choose the Gmail send-as address if more than one is available.

Example: When a form is submitted, wait 10 minutes, then send a thank-you from your Gmail address.

Troubleshooting

  • Send fails: Reconnect Gmail and confirm the Google account still has access. Workspace admins sometimes restrict third-party send.
  • Wrong From address: Pick the send-as address on the agent or in the workflow step.
  • Expecting inbox replies in Link AI: Gmail is send-only. Incoming Gmail is not pulled into the Inbox. Use Outlook if you need a mailbox channel.
