Shopify
Connect your Shopify store to sync products into Orders, look up order status from agents, and trigger workflows from Shopify events.
Connect your Shopify store so Link AI can sync your catalog into Orders, look up guest order status from an agent, and run Workflows when orders or products change.
What you can do
| Capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Catalog sync | Import Shopify products into Orders → Products. Webhooks keep create, update, delete, and inventory changes in sync. Use Sync products for a full refresh. |
| Agent order lookup | Customers can check a guest order with an order number and email. Your agent answers from the connected store. |
| Ally | Ask Ally to review store products and orders (shopify_manage). |
| Workflows | Trigger automations from Shopify orders and products, then sync products, look up an order, or add an order note. |
How to connect
You can connect from Link AI or install the Link AI app from the Shopify App Store.
From Link AI
- Open Dashboard → Integrations → Shopify.
- Enter your store domain (
mystore.myshopify.comor just the store name). - Click Connect and approve the Shopify install.
- You return to Link AI with the store connected.
- Click Sync products to import the catalog into Orders → Products.
From the Shopify App Store
- Install Link AI on the store.
- Shopify authorizes the app immediately.
- Sign in to Link AI to finish setup. The store is already authorized; open Integrations to confirm the connection and run Sync products.
You need permission to install apps on that store.
Permissions requested

- Read and write orders
- Read customers and fulfillments
- Read inventory and locations
Keep the catalog in sync
After you connect:
- Shopify webhooks update products when they are created, changed, deleted, or when inventory moves.
- Sync products in the Shopify integration tile runs a full refresh. Use it after the first connect, or if something looks out of date.
- Synced products appear in Orders → Products and are available to agents with Orders enabled.
Use it with agents and Ally
- Connect Shopify and sync products.
- Enable Orders on the agent that should show the catalog.
- Customers can ask for products or look up an order with the order number and email.
- In Ally, ask about store products or recent orders.
Shopify does not replace Stripe checkout inside Link AI. If you take payment in chat, still connect Stripe.
Workflows
Requires Shopify to be connected.

See Workflows for the editor, variables, and examples.
Troubleshooting
- Connect button does nothing: Use the
.myshopify.comdomain, not a custom storefront URL. - Products missing after connect: Click Sync products. Webhooks keep later changes in sync; the first import is a full sync.
- Agent cannot find an order: The customer needs the order number and the email on the order. Confirm the same store is connected to this workspace.
- Workflows do not fire: Confirm Shopify is still connected and the workflow is Active. Test with a new order or product change in the store.
Next steps
- Orders: catalog, checkout, and order management
- Workflows: automate follow-ups from Shopify events
- Stripe: take payment from conversations
- Ally Agent: ask Ally about the store
